Welcome to the North Dorset Photo Contest, where you enter your photos of wonderful North Dorset for your chance to be the Winner of Winners! In this blog, we will give you all the information that you need to enter the competition, from what it's all about to the competition schedule and how to enter.
What Is this Competition?
The North Dorset Photo Contest is here to showcase the beauty and diversity of North Dorset and its towns through the lens of talented photographers. This competition will provide a platform for both amateur and professional photographers to exhibit their work and celebrate the unique landscapes, culture, and community of North Dorset.
About the Competition
This Competition is open to photographers of all ages and skill levels and prizes will be awarded in different categories, there will be an under-18, over-18 and a professional category. Each prize will be provided by each town for its own exhibitions:
- Blandford Forum
- Gillingham
- Shaftesbury
- Sherborne
- Sturminster Newton
The Competition Schedule
This competition will open from the 14th of February and the winners will be announced in June 2025 after the exhibitions, here's what it looks like:
- Competition Opens - 14th February 9:00
- Submissions Close - 28th March 21:00
- Judging Process - 29th March - 12th April
- Town Exhibitions Start - 9th May
- Winner of Winners EXPO - June 2025
How To Enter The Competition
COMPETITION OPENS 14th FEBRUARY AT 9am
Entering a competition has never been easier but here's a breakdown of the steps to make sure that you have the chance to show your photography skills to everyone else.
- Navigate to the Competition Categories or click the "enter photo" button top right.
- Select the age category you will be entering - Under 18s, 18+ or Professional
- Fill in the form making sure everything is correct and you understand the rules and prizes that could be won.
- Hit Save Contestant and Good Luck!
While the competition is ongoing you can see all the latest entries in the photo gallery. So make sure to submit your photo for everyone to see. Judges from each town will vote on photos and the top 10 for each area will go to a public vote. The winners of the winner will be exhibited to the public.
